The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application system.

Applications at the moment are open and will close on 15 December 2024.

*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant should meet the following criteria:

• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who emanates from a house by using a combined gross house income that does not exceed R350 000 per annum.

• People with disabilities qualify if their combined house cash flow isn't going to exceed R600 000 per annum.

• SASSA recipients automatically qualify for read more funding and want not submit any evidence of income.
